Following the Jim Blurton Barshoes & Tools Team’s success at the Royal Bath & West Show in June 2016, Jim Blurton, an internationally recognised farrier and horseshoe expert, will be attending the Yorkshire Farriers Education & Demonstration Association – YFEDA World Championship on 21st-23rd October 2016.
The four man team will be made up of Andy Reider-Smith, Gavin Galby, Matt Randles and Jim Blurton.
At the competition the team will be competing in a number of categories including Class 1 Hunter Shoeing and the Class 3 Jim Blurton Bar Shoe Challenge – a product developed by Jim throughout his years of experience.
Jim has been entered as a wild card, due to not competing significantly in recent years (previous to Royal Bath & West Show 2016). However the team’s recent success won’t have gone unnoticed, and Jim is looking forward to the challenge and showcasing his expertise at the event.
Ahead of the competition, Jim Blurton said
‘We’re looking forward to competing at the YFEDA World Team Championship, following the success at the Bath & West Show. We’ve got an experienced team and it’s going to be a great event with the competition and demonstrations, as well as catching up with other expert farriers from throughout the UK’.
