Jim Blurton Specialist Remedial Horseshoes and Farrier Tools recently attended the International Hoof Care Summit in Cincinatti, Ohio – taking place over 4 days between Tuesday 24th January and Friday 27th January 2017.
The Jim Blurton team display the complete range of shoes and tools available, as well as working with recognised farrier brands from around the world including Victory, Delta, Mustad, Wellshod and Amarillo.
International Hoof Care Summit 2017
Attending by over 1000 farriers from around the United States, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, the 14th International Hoof Care Summit was hugely successful.
offered 8 general discussions, 15 hoof care classes and endless networking opportunities throughout the event. The team exhibited the range of specialist horseshoes and farrier tools developed by Jim Blurton throughout his career, as well as showcased new tools that are being launched in 2017 including tools from our invited brands.
Expert presentations were led by leading farriery experts from around the world including:
Mike Wieldstein – one of only three people in the world to have passed the distinguished Fellow of the Worshipful Company of Farriers examination in the United Kingdom with an ‘Honours’ designation, and only one of four farriers in the United States to have passed the Fellowship exam;
Dr Jennifer Hagen – Professor and Researcher at Leipzig University’s Institute of Veterinary Anatomy;
Simon Curtis – Practicing Farrier and Worldwide Lecturer with 40 years of hoof-care experience;
Dave Farley – Practicing Farrier and past Resident Farrier at the Ohio State University, in Columbus, Ohio.
International Hoof Care Summit 2018
The International Hoof Care Summit 2018 is now currently being planned, with a busy schedule of events planned for Tuesday 23rd January – Friday 26th January 2018.
Featuring expert sessions from Andrew Van Eps and Randy Luikart, with more speakers to be announced throughout the year, the 15th year of the event will showcase the latest industry products, discuss new research and offer an opportunity for farriers and people within the equine care profession to network.
