Hot / Cold Set

The Jim Blurton hot cold set is a cutting tool with a large head which is ideal for using with a striker. The blade is positioned under the centre of the tool to maximise the power of the hammer blow. The height of the set gives good visibility to the blade which is made from S1 tool steel. The handle is 18” long to keep the users hand away from the hot steel and is made from high-quality hickory and grooved for grip.

Available as part of the Jim Blurton Professional Farrier Tool range, the hot cold set was developed and tested at Jim’s forge in Mid Wales. It has been tested by some of the world’s leading farriers and equine experts, and is now available worldwide online.
